Tour Details Explained

Here is how to read a Tour detail page and understand all the information at a glance.

  1. Open a Tour from the overview or the map view.

  2. At the top you will see the map view showing the full route.

  3. Just below that are the stats: total distance, estimated ride time, and elevation gain.

  4. The taxonomy ratings show tour style, road type, technical difficulty, physical effort, scenery, traffic exposure, and group suitability.

  5. Scroll down to the stops and waypoints for details on individual stations along the route.

  6. Use the ride together feature to invite other riders to join the Tour.

  7. Check the ratings from other riders who have already completed this Tour.

The taxonomy ratings help you judge whether a Tour matches your skill level and preferences — from scenery to difficulty.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do the taxonomy ratings mean?

Each Tour is rated across several categories: tour style (e.g. cruising, sport), road type, technical difficulty, physical effort, scenery rating, traffic exposure, and group suitability. These values help you assess the Tour before you ride.

How is distance calculated?

Distance is calculated based on the route drawn on the map — following the waypoints and the roads between them.

Can I export a Tour as GPX?

Yes. On the Tour detail page you will find the option to download the route as a GPX file. You can then load it into your navigation app or GPS device.
